Default Will lowering effect Auto leveling system?

Hey guys, i have been pondering if i need to adjust my headlight alittle higher or does my A.L.S do it on its own. I have Tein CS on my ride lowered down to the max so i'm thinking if i should take it to the dealer, and have them raise the headlight alittle higher? Any info would be great thanks.

if you lower the same front and back, technically you should raise up the headlights VERY TINY BIT, but in reality i think it's pretty much the same, so i think it should be fine

If you have a Auto Leveling System shouldn't they level them selves.

Like rominL said, if you lower the back and the front equally then there is no change in the auto leveling system. Technicaly since the car IS lower the lights sit lower and since they wont be adjusted b.c of the equall drop the lights will be just a tad bit lower in reality only because of the drop its self.

right on.

and about why adjust autoleveling, think of it this way. how does the autoleveling work, it has to refer to SOMETHING as "horizontal" right? how? the system relies on two sensors, one in the front and one in the back of the suepension. out of the factory, the two sensor positions mean the car is leveled. now if you lower the front more than the rear, you can imagine what will happen?

Okay the car has 2 sensors, one on the front right hand wheel and one on the rear right hand wheel. Those sensors are hooked up to a auto leveling computer, now in stock condition when the car is standing and its empty, the sensors on both wheels are at the same level like this - -
now lets say you have 3 people sitting in the back and you have a passanger on the right hand side, the rear of your car will go down more because there is more weight there so the sensors will end up looking like this _ -- when the rear sensors are below the front sensors, that indicates to the auto leveling computer that the rear of the car is lowered and is causing the nose of the car to pitch upward, thus the auto leveling computer will automatically adjust the headlights so they point down a little to accomodate the shift. Same thing happens if your going up hill, the headlights will adjust and point downward due to the angle of the car, or if your going downhill then the headlights will automatically adjust upward. The system was originaly designed to reduce glare into oncoming traffic. And for you when you lower the car and both the front and back is lowered for ex- 1 inch neither of the sensors is of balanced, there both sitting lower but at the same level thus the auto leveling computer does not react.

nah, that's exergerating say with stock car, the headlights is about 30 degrees down from horizontal (just some example numbers here). if you lower your car, maybe you should put it to 28 degrees or so if you want to shine the same area. that's why i say it's very very minor change, if at all

I was also thinking the same thing when I lowered my car...the lights now shine more on the road than down the road. It's quite enough that I noticed it the 1st time I drove it, and I only have L-tuned struts/springs.
