Well I finally completed my trunk and it is real simple and clean. I use my trunk a lot for golf etc etc so I had to do something that was realistic for the amount I use my trunk. I drew up a plan and my installer(mad genius) put it into action. The thing about it is the cleanliness because if you look close enough all the wires and the rca's are aligned the same way. Well here they are. What do ya think??
Mods I know this belongs int he audio but could you leave it here for a day for exposure??? Thanks guys.
getting it ready
and installed in the trunk
with the neons on(kinda hard to see)
and an ok shot of the whole trunk
The system consists of 1 Jl Audio 500/1 for my CS210w30v2 sub box and a 300/4 to run my XR-650csi components and the coaxials in the rear, and a 1.2 DEI cap.
Very clean set-up. Nice work, especially like the neons in the bottom. May i suggest something? Have your installer make a panel that goes all the way across the back of the trunk, so it doenst look like there is a shelf that the sub box is sitting on..
here's what my set-up looks like
Yes i know it's airtrack's, i bought it from him, just havent had time to snap pics.

Ya I forgot to say that, we are going to be doing that just so sickof working on my car from the kit to the stereo I just wann drive it now ya know lol
How does it sound?
I was real skeptical of the XR components because they have a titanium dome tweeter and they tend to be over bright but we attinuated them just right and it sounds real good. I stll need to adjust a little but overall I am very pleased.
I saw this setup on Sat and these pics do it a dis-service, it is a very clean install. When standing, the box-on-a-shelf look is not as noticeable either. It is not a motherload of ICE type deal, just very clean and neat, and it sounds very good as well (at least to me!)
Well what I did with mine is to do an air-sub system in which the subs are hanging and using the enclosed air in the trunk as its whole enclosure and I have the amps set-up so that they are all sitting inside and leaving the spare wheel well free. No way I am gonna drive around without a spare tire.
But you got one nice setup. Get your guy to cover that subwoofer box with a flat panel to make it flush.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I really appreciate it. It came out real clean just they way I wanted other than the false wall to set the subs in. Eventually that will be done just want to enjoy my "new" car for a while ya know.
BTW how much did it set you back
Well fortunatley I mange an audio shop so I got everything under cost and my guy who installs here did allthe work. I just let him stay on the clock and get paid his normal time. It took a while to do prlly like 3-4 days because it was so tedious and neat.
As for the Sox hat this is the year guys hate to tell ya but this is the year!
