Unhappy Almost Crashed Need Help

So I'm driving to work cruising doing like 90mph in the express lane when traffic starts to slow me down so i hit the brakes and I'm getting closer to the car when all of a sudden my brake pedal gets hard and I'm not slowing down at all so at this point I'm like scared as hell I'm about to crash then the brakes get normal and I skid about an inch away from the car ahead of me I'm sitting in the car like WTF just happened

At that time 3 lights came on on the dashboard

Uploaded with ImageShack.us they are ABS, TRAC and TRACS OFF

I ran a scan with a OBD 2 scanner but no codes pop up I was wondering if anyone had this problem before and can somewhat help me single it out I drove it home and nothing was wrong then the lights came on again leaving later on that night but my brakes were still working fine I'm thinkning its a master cylinder or the ABS pump but I'm just a rookie at these things

Any help would be appreciated

Wow bro. 1. Im glad you alright and 2. I never heard or experienced anything like that.

I stepped on the brake hard once cause a car stopped short and they didnt do much. The stock brakes suck :'( I was about 1 foot away from bashing the car. smh

the car (atleast 1gen aristo's) isn't OBD2, so that might be why the scan came up with nothing.

those 3 lights are signs of a shot brake master cylinder. have a look at your BMC, and monitor your levels.

if the pedal got really hard to push, then easy to push again, that seems like it would be the BMC or nitrogen accumulator (if you have one in the GS300's, i'm not sure about them)

Even a OBD-II scanner wont popup ABS or TRAC codes on most OBD-II Toyotas or Lexuseseseseseses (i call plural lexus lexi) . Either its manual code retrieval or use the NISS-1 diagnostics connector on the intake.

what do you mean by jump diagnoses port the one under the hood is all messed up so the only port I can connect to is the one inside the car under the driver side dash

Thanks for that info clublexus is coming through in the clutch I'll try it out this weekend when I get some free time but oddly enough the lights or the problem hasn't happened since I'm going to change my rotors and brakes since that causes some vibration as well the car seems to be running and braking normal but anyway thanks poplatino4 and deknick for the info it's appreciated
