Question GTTE on GE

Welp my transmission or torque convertor has gone kaputs. So I've looked around and the cheapest transmission I can find is the auto for the 2jzgtte. Does anyone know if any modifications will have to be done to install it on the 2jzge and will the ecu accept it?

i'm pretty sure there's a writeup on here how to do it. I know from experience that the usdm supra transmission doesn't even come close to working.

Is it slipping? if so it could be that your clutch packs have worn away all the material on them.

If its an A341E this may help with the fluid capacities:

This will help also in a better understanding of your auto tranny and how they work.

While in drive the car barely moves until around 5k rpm's, and even after you get moving it shifts slow and revs high just to get going. I've looked at putting the 2jzgte trans on it and it seems like there’s a lot of stuff that has to be worked out so I've decided to either go with the jdm 2jzge trans, or if I can't find one of those I'll have to go with a used gs300 2jzge trans with high miles. Thanks for all the info.

I'd recommend you check the sticker on the driver side door jam and in the bottom right it lists which type of trans mission you have...A340E, A341E, A350E, etc.

I'd recommend finding a tranny that is exactly the same, or your gonna end up swapping an internal part or two.

check this link out.. it may help you.
