Default Coilover Height Question

i'm in the market for coilover but have a question.

I've never owned a car with coilovers so this is new to me.

With coilovers, I know they allow you to drop very low, BUT how HIGH can it lift the car? I know that it depends on what kind of coilover but I just wanted a guestimate from you guys with coils.

Reason im asking is because sometimes I take the car out to the mountains while there is snow out. when my car was at stock hieght my car was fine with snow, but now that im on springs, i wanted to get coils so I have the height adjustment.

Stock height or higher would be great.

disclaimer: yeah i know i shouldnt be taking my car out in the snow, but I love driving my car, and snow shots are awesome. dont worry i give her a good washing up and down and all around inside and out when i get back along with a good polish/clay/wax.

heres some shots from bigbear this past winter at stock height

I raised my tein cs 4 inches so that I could clear the driveway of the paintshop where I had my car painted.

Get air, it will raise it within 3 seconds. hehe

You can probably go higher than stock height. But have fun adjusting them. It's a real pain to do it. Also you should get an alignment every time you change anything. Or else you'll eat up tires pretty quick.

so what you're saying is ...EVERYTIME you hit the switches, an alignment is needed?

Default Those using Air

For those of you using an air system what kind is it???

I have an AWD GSX with a JIC FLT-A2 set up and was looking at the same set up for the GS 300. But I am interested to learn about air and it's abilities.

With an air set up is the car capable of canyon carving? How much trunk space will an air set up take.

On a scale of 1 - 10 how do you rate the ride of air?

True, but you can try to minimize tire wear by memorizing your bag pressure and driving on that setup most of the time. Invest in some Firestone Lifetime Alignment.
