Realistically speaking, what do you think is the percentage of EV buyers that participate on forums? I would hazard a guess that it's not even 20% of total sales

Of that 20 % (which I think is high) what is the % of battery failures?

You can't extrapolate such a low number to be the norm for anything really. IMO

 

I was going to mention this as well. Most car buyers in general don't participate on forums. It's usually enthusiasts, or someone having issues looking for a solution

Had a run in with a Hummer EV SUV this morning Red light on my daily commute. 2 lanes, 55 mph speed limit yada yada. Not idea if he was in WTF mode but I was in sport and it wasn't much of a contest up to 65. I eased up then he continued on. Got caught up in traffic afterward so no chance for round 2

I had a run in this morning with an RZ 450e against my Polestar. No contest there. It lost steam after about 50 mph.

The Hummer's battery pack alone probably weighs more than your R1

If memory serves, it weighs slightly more than a Civic, but nowhere near an entire R1.
