Toyotas latest SEC 20-F filing, interesting what they say about the Lexus / BEV transition (also see the previous filing about BEV's, page 22 of the filing);

On a point of order, the Mach E in the video was running in a mode which quite severely limits power. It wouldn't have matched the 5N, but it should have come closer, and probably 2nd. With the performance pack it is now 3.3 to 60, 11.8 in the quarter, and the 2024s don't limit power like the prior model years did at higher speeds.

I thought the Mach-e was a toy but those numbers say otherwise.

besides winning the prize for finding the dumbest ev videos out there, i'm sure you're loving this one using an ice car to TOW an ev to recharge its battery by overcoming the regenerative braking because the owner is clearly an idiot. and the ice car got 5mpg doing it and probably shortened the life of the transmission and maybe engine a bunch.

I actually thought it was pretty cool and didn’t know that was even possible to recharge the battery that way. At least you watched the video before commenting this time. I know the video got at least 1 thumbs down.
at the start he says "the unthinkable happened" and he shows a pic of a blown tire (what does that have to do with running out of charge?).
he says at the charger he found he would have to wait "3 hours" to have enough charge to get home. really?
he says "all he needed" was to be towed for 15 minutes at 70mph to add 100mi. range to his battery because regen is 65kW.
so 65kW charging for 15 minutes would add at most 1/4 x 65kw or about 16kw to the battery. at a fantastic 4mi./kwh usage, that's only 64 mi. range, not 100, proving the guy in the video is a cretin.
"i'm going to do this in the name of science" - yeah right, lol

he says he's going to tow with an e55 mercedes, yet the video thumbnail shows an s-class.
and about that s-class thumbnail pic... wtf is the tow strap doing connected to the SIDE of the s-class?
probably an AI generated thumbnail.

to show what an imbecile this guy is, he's now using a GIANT DIESEL engine in that tesla model s for clicks...
so if you found it cool, great, but it has ZERO credibility, more like a prank video.
I have to totally agree with Bit on this, this video was as idiotic as it gets. He gave so much misleading information at the beginning, a non EV owner or someone looking for that gotcha EV moment would come out with complete misinformation or a misunderstanding at the very least. Yes, if try to charge at an L2 charger (which he quickly showed) it will take hours. And no, you don't want to try and tow an EV and use regen to charge it, you can overheat and damage the motors. As an owner of three EV'S, it provided zero useful information. It just made me ask, why?

, that's all we need are some idiots towing a dead EV down the interstate at 70mph. What could go wrong?
