Car Damage
What do u do if dealer damaged your ultra luxury car during its first ever service so badly that it's in the auto shop getting the body frames cut and welded back,.getting the sensors replaced, and other parts fixed or replaced and its going to be 5 to 6 weeks (or more) for them to bring it back. Would you be able to drive it around after with peace of mind?
Depending on the extent of the damage. Also how new is the car? If you're trying to get a new vehicle that seems like a very long battle to pick. Would I be able to drive it with peace of mind? For me, no. I bought a brand new car and want to keep it as brand new as possible.
They'd better cover the costs of damages, provide and cover gas for the rental, as well as possible future free services is what I would fight for.

It's 2025, started driving just this January. 5K service.
And yes, I certainly won't have peace of mind nor happy
Can't believe this happened. Poor thing beeps even if there's a lavendar plant in the close range. How could they have been so reckless and negligent!

Any story on how it was damaged? Guessing one of the quick lube techs overestimated their driving skills....
Exactly ! Probably swerved it around pressing on the accelerator without any concern for anything & so no time to react to the warning sounds from the sensors! Otherwise there's no way one can't hear those rings and bells the car makes when you are nearing objects :-(
I would consider contacting an attorney. It would take a lot more than simply repairing the damage to make me happy. If the damage is as extensive as you say, that car will never be right. And as previously mentioned, the diminished value will be significant as well.

What a bummer!
If inventory for a car you like is available, I'll contact the manager and express your peace of mind state and request if it's possible a fair trade in value and a good discount on a new model to make for it. If the trade in value reflect the diminished value, make sure it's added over any discount provided. Good luck!

I’m not one to rush to an attorney, but if you don’t have any luck with the GM, I’d next go to Lexus itself ... if all of that fails then I’d get hold of a lawyer. This extent of damage for so new a car is unacceptable.
Your lawyer (and you should get one soonest), will probably advise against a public disclosure at this time; that is a very strong weapon to use at a point further down the road in negotiations. Yes, you absolutely should demand a total replacement. You also should endeavour to get photos of the vehicle before any repairs are attempted and by any means legal (your lawyer will also recommend this and may be able to assist or even do this for you).
I'm sorry this happened to you. It's unfair and awful.
Completely agree with the advices here about an attorney ASAP and demanding a replacement.
The deprecated value comes when a prospective buyer or trade-in dealer, takes one look at your Carfax, sees one major wreck (even if perfectly fixed, which is far from certain), and knocks down their offer. That is 100% certain to happen if you don't replace the car.
