Please tell me that the melting dash Lexus and Toyota have been having in the 2000s have been fixed. Especially on the 7 gen ES.

The dash on my 19 has yet to melt in nearly seven years of ownership.

Same, I may add that it gets up to low 100s in the summer where I live, and I park my car outside, since 2019.

No gen 7 issues with a melting dash. I believe that this was a previous issue with Toyota that was resolved in a class action suit.

Don't have that issue yet with my 2024 ES. However the passenger side of dash is very easily scratched on gen 7 cars. I have spoken to HQ and dealership and don't have a fix. Just recently had it in shop for 1 yr inspection and the answer I got was ,G7 cars all have that issue .Think they are more interested in selling cars.

Toyota has had 25 years to correct that material and UV control so I don't think it would even be a possible issue today. The LS430 dash on some would bubble but mine being garaged is in perfect shape. My 2001 UL windshield and side glass does not act like it has any UV control at all. It has a superb front and rear AC system but with the angle of sun sometimes on skin it feels burning. The ES experience is totally different. This is the first post in a very long time that I have seen a post about bubble or melting dash.

I have not heard of melting dash on new Lexus' (Lexii?) , but they certainly scratch very easily and can not be repaired..
