Default Removing Dash Marks

This subject has been discussed here extensively. Just wondering if anyone has found a solution. In the previous mega thread, Adams seemed to temporarily disguise marks better than most treatments although everyone has their favorite product. Thanks,

My solution was a can of spray from Classic Leather Dye.
After almost two years 0 scratches/marks.

Yes, I read your posts. A little too much trouble for me but glad it is working out well for you.

Right after I got my 2019 some marks appeared on the passenger side from my wife and her handbag. I tried every trick I know to remove them w/o any success. I brought it into the dealer and spoke to the SM, who said he hadn't heard of anyone else complaining. Yeah right... The surface of the dash is very susceptible to marking due to whatever material Lexus is using. I don't know if it was updated or changed since the 2019.

For the last 5 years I've been wiping it with water when I wash the car. I won't use Armorall or 303, or Adam's products because once you start you must continue the applications. Use water only. I've found that the marks have almost disappeared and if you didn't know they were there you wouldn't even see them. My dash is chocolate brown... Wifey's handbag now goes in the back seat... GOOD LUCK Art...

Mine’s a 2021 Atomic Silver with wonderful chocolate brown also. May never give up my car because I can’t get the brown interior anymore.(Maybe Gen 8 - keeping my fingers crossed). I have one light “purse scratch” above the dash. Wipe it periodically with damp microfiber and dare not mess further with it. Don’t want to make it worse. No one else sees and I no longer notice it, either.
Shame so much of the interior trim parts, carpet and dash of newer years are now all “flat black.” That does nothing for the car’s appearance.

I suffered from the marks on my '19 as well. I seemed to get them if I even looked at it wrong. I've found that while the dash material looks similar in my '23 it's much more impervious to getting any marks on it.

Yes no sign of that material in our new 24 RX.

I've used rubbing alcohol dabbed onto a paper towel and or cloth. Scrubbed lightly and it seems to "blend" it into the surface. It is still visible in direct sunlight and at an angle but just as faint marks. If you're going to try it, I would test it in a not so visible area first.

Agree. Same color dash, same handbag scuffing. I used several different interior cleaning products with moderate success. The guys at the hand car wash place I believe just use water and that seems to work better than anything else. But it’s mystifying that Lexus allowed this issue to persist for years.

I see it on some of the new 2024 Lexuses too as I'm part of detailing forums. Toyota too. Unfortunately no product can cure or erase it (unless maybe you cover your dash in shiny armorall). the substrate is mechanically damaged and needs (somehow) mechanical repair that i do not know is possible.

Somewhat of a thread shift ...
But my new ES 350 is Iridium with the Acorn interior, very chocolate like.
