Sticky Dash Fix
I am curious if anyone has used this https://stickydashfix.com/ and can provide a long term review. My lower dash is starting to show signs of the sticky dash issue and am considering this as a solution.

Very short-term cure. I applied it to the four upper door panels of my car in late April this year when the upper door panels began to show spots of shininess. I applied two coats of the stickydashfix paint to the upper panels. They initially looked good, until late August when the temperature reached above 90 degrees. The painted upper door panels began to show a shiny wet layer under the sun and the shiny web layer becomes a layer of black powder in the evening when the temperature drops below 80. My dashboard and other plastic interior parts, except for the upper door panels, were replaced by Lexus under the ZLZ warranty three years ago, fortunately. The upper door panels at the time of ZLZ coverage still looked very good and were not replaced, unfortunately.

My experience was the same as yyymmm31's. Initially it looks good. After a few months of summer heat the surfaces I painted are sticky again.
The paint is a very good color match. I used it to repair my worn steering wheel ( wasn't sticky). The paint has held up very well on my steering wheel.

Sounds like CA and AZ heat in summer affects the coating. It's brutally hot. Maybe you'll get 4-5 years in NC. A permanent fix would be great but 4 years and a touchup doesn't sound so bad either. Just throwing it out there.

Did the sticky dash fix on the dashboard and door panels (3 full coats) for a couple of month now. Holding up pretty well, though it is typically only 60+ degrees in the city of San Francisco. The mouldable glue in my attached picture is a must if you have any big divots / cracks. The filler wasn't useful is my application.

Well that is frustrating to here it seams to be a temporary fix. I do not have an issue with the top dash it is only on the lower gray area of the dash and it is not bad but it is starting. I do not want to use something that is a temp. Another option i think i will try first is EBKicks shoe cleaner. I saw a video where they used this on a toyota sienna (apparently also has sticky dash issue) and it cleans off the stickiness. Has anyone tried that? If it works and I have to use it every few months then I am OK.
If anyone has any experience with that please share. I will once I get it.

It may work for a bit but the surface/finish has deteriorated and it will continue to get sticky if you take off the layer of stickiness. It's not like someone placed a sticky substance on the vinyl, molecular breakdown is occurring to all the vinyl. The only fix is to replace the section. Even vinyl layer over the sticky may eventually pull away. EB Kicks is quite affordable..

The best option for you would be taking it to an automotive upholstery shop to see if they can cover it with a similar grain vinyl material or leather if you’re willing to pay extra for leather.
Personally I’ve used this product called Cera-Trim which has helped eliminate the stickiness of the dash and even the glove box including the top gray half of the door panel.
It’s a thick gel like special ceramic coating that soaks deep into the plastics and vinyl and gives a nice sheen to it. Yet it creates a smooth non sticky layer that will keep the stickiness at bay. It works great on rubber and black trim as well, and it last a long long time. It doesn’t wear off quickly like most of the cheap interior trim protectant sprays that only last like a week or so.
If you do decide to use Cera-Trim, I would recommend soaking the vinyl trim with it for about an hour so or leaving it on overnight for really worn trim, then the next day, just buff it off with a clean towel which will remove the excess coating and leave a smooth non sticky finish.
You can find it on the Amazon link below.
