Question 07 ES 350 Chk Eng Chk VSC Red Triangle: Code 6006
Per a computer code check Code 6006 refers to a malfunctioning Engine Control Module. Does anyone know how easy or difficult it would be for me to replace myself or is it worth it to have Lexus replace?

the ECU is coded to the car. You will need to have Lexus reprogram it, but you can find a second hand part yourself to save cost. It will be worth it vs the cost of a brand new ECU.

The ECU is covered by the Major Emissions Warranty (8 years......not sure of the miles in the U.S.). Check your Warranty Booklet to see if you might still be covered.

I think that warranty is 8/80k? Not sure.
