Info on Lexus Emission Warranty
I have a 2006 Lexus IS250, RWD. It has 56,xxx miles on it.
I am the second owner.
It has a check engine light on as well as "Check VSC".
I am pretty sure its the catalytic converter. I had it scanned by the toyota dealership today and they verified it and gave me a detailed print out of the log on the diagnostic scanner and it was P0430. But I must bring it to a lexus dealer in order to have it serviced if it is warranty work.
I posted the code I was getting a few weeks ago and some of the responses I received on here said that lexus has some type of emission warranty that my car still falls under. I need to find any information on this so that I can go tho the lexus dealer prepared.
Thanks in advance.
Eric

I was hoping to get something definitive in ink and black and white so that I can go in there armed and dangerous. Around here in the south the dealerships try to get shady and deny things, like recalls and such... i went through that with mitsubishi once on a ball joint and they ended up repainting my passenger side of the car and replacing the bumper, fender, and wheels because they denied the ball joint recall and it broke while i was driving and i got it appealed and fixed.... But once you start tossing around proper documentation and research and put it in front of their face and show them you know what you are talking about, then their tone changes.
