Hello forum members I was curious if anyone has removed the smaller portion of the rear shelf/deck? Does it pop off or do you have to remove the entire rear deck assembly?
Thanks in advance.

i think i still have the Diy on removing the rear deck on a ES350, i will take a look. I know that you have to remove the sides trims and yes, it will pop up. I don't remember if you have to remove the back seats since the seatbelts goes thru the rear deck.

Do you mean the cloth center section of the rear deck? The dealer told me it was all one piece with the rest of the deck.

The rear deck is held in by two clips in the front. You have to disconnect the rear seat belts and feed them through the deck slots to get the deck out.

Will this allow access to (and removal of) the subwoofer? I was of the impression that you had to take the seats out to do all this.

Yes, I think the rear seats have to come out in any case.
