Having issues when im driving and then bring the car to a stop at the lights sometimes the transmission shifts and makes the cars idle drop a lot, what is going on here?

How low of an idle do you have in terms of rpm?

If your idle is low at a stop light, it would be your IACV, not your tranny.

I'm not sure if the throttle bodies are the same, but they're both 1mz so this should do it for ya. Heres a good step by step process on how to clean your dirty IACV.

thank you very much for that link but its for a 1995

my 2000 has two throttle bodies, should I disconnect the batteries and take off all the wires and plugs?

This will cause no harm at all?

I was afraid your model was the one with the dual throttle bodies. But I'm sure the IACV is in the same location. You shouldn't have to take off any plugs or any wires at all. Just make sure it's clean and dry before you put it back together.

Yeah it goes from the air filter to some to some solid plastic thing then to then to the throttle bodies. There are a lot of things I would have to remove to get to those throttle bodies
