Check out my dock and tell me if u like it or not... wasnt that hard... took apart a mini ipod apple dock... cut a hole in the wood piece and glued the damn thing in there... on the other hand it was a little harder to get it to work with the radio... used the cd changer port and bridged two points to recgonize the aux, then found the audio... also wasnt that hard.. u guys should try this.. if you have a ipod...

how do u change music without rwemoving the ipod?

all you have to do is pick up the ipod and and push like 2 buttons and put it back in... no interference or anything... what i mean is that it doesnt screw it up or turn it off... its really not that hard to pick it up and push a button is it??

but if u pick it up doesnt the music stop playing while it is out of the dock? since the ipod is playing music through the dock?

Does kenwood not have a controler unit for that deck? I had a deck similar to that in my old Civic, it had Sirius capabilities, but not sure about iPod...

lol... thats funny.... but to all the others... i dont think its ipod compatable and all i wanted to accomplish was... to play the ipod through the radio, and charge it, and thats what i did... i know they sell those boxes that enable radio control of the ipod but..... $200 for a box that i can make for free with less features.... i think i did the better thing.... well to answer jakex1... yes it stops playing music... that is pretty evident... if you remove an ipod from a dock dont u think it would cut off the connection to the speakers...????.... and quite frankly... i dont care if i have to pick it up .... its still better than having no ipod through my stereo....thanks for the comments and i appreciate the feedback

that looks really sick, but im just gunna stick with using my tape deck adapter thing that i plug into the headset jack of the ipod

well that was the whole point of my question. Although there is 1 wire i just have a transmitter from the ciggarette outlet that streams continuous play regardless of where i move my ipod.
