Question about Eclipse AVN 5435 and iPod Adapter
So I have the Eclipse AVN 5435 and wanted to know how to get the iPod adapter to work? I also have the serius unit, like it says in the instructions you have to go through (or the cd changer unit) to make it connect right. But the owner has a subscription to serius, and I think it won't let me use the iPod because it's still running serius, correct? So my question is, how do I get rid of the serius so I can just use the iPod?
Thanks in advance!

yes you can use the ipc-106 with the AVN5435 but it sucks big time. Your better bet is to buy an ipod adapter that plugs into the dock connector of your ipod and then goes to three or two rcas and run it through your VTR mode (AUX Input). this way you have more control over your ipod and it will charge it at the same time (if it has a power and gound wire attached to the cable). if you decide to use the ipc-106 it will come up as a slave CD changer and you will get zero text support and basically have to put it on random and just change the song when you want a different one.

In my 5435 I just use the "VTR" input with a full size iPod adapter cable (not an 1/8" jack), thus bypassing the headphone volume. Cheap and cheerful, but no controls or displays except on the iPod itself.
