Default Center A/C vent

Does anyone know how to remove the center A/C vent from a 92 ES?

You have to use a really flat screw driver. Are you gonna replace the head unit or something?

Yep, the OEM radio has seen its last days and not functioning properly. Using a really flat screw driver doesn't tell me much though. I don't want to break that A/C vent.

I broke mine, well not broke but cracked a corner. It's not too bad though. But you'll have to spend some time pulling out that sucker, it seems hard at first but once you pull it out it's easy to pull out again. I used the screwdriver to pry from the right lower corner until I got it to come out a little. Then the left side. Then I used my hands to oull it out but it took me 15 minutes the first time because I was scared to break it... But the only think cracked was the outer lining. It's not that bad and not noticable.

If you can use a putty knife and pry, you will displace more leverage along the vent on the edge and not concentrated like a point with a screwdriver.

I invested in a good set of dash/panel removers for such this purpose - worthwhile investment

Cool

Take the glovebox out and you can use a screwdriver to the very back of it, where if you crack it who gives a damn. Duct tape = fixed.

hey, go here......
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95432
this is the set I have and has worked flawlessly 100% of the time.

And why go through more work to remove the glove box?!?! Not necessary!! My motto = WORK SMART, NOT HARD!!
And if you crack the glove, you will give a damn because you will know its there

Phoenix - most people care about there rides, regardless if you see the damage or not.
