Default Remove center panel

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to remove the center panel(where the radio and AC controls are) without having to take the whole unit out? I just want to take off that front plastic plate.

Negative. In order to take the plastic piece off, you need to take the entire unit off, and unscrew a couple of screws. They you gota couple clips u gotta undo, then you'll have the front piece off.
