Last i checked it's a good dozen screws, in addition to the one's on the actual console. So where do I remove it from? I'm releathering the rest and need access to the cover.

so again, your just doing the top part? if so, you can remove the top pad armrest by the screws on the hinge. should be three or so.

Ok....those 3 screws i think you are talking about are off. But the hinge and arm rest are still together. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how this thing comes off?

Default Center Console Armrest removal

808sc300, did you ever manage to pull that center padded rest off? I re-did my car seats years ago, never got around to the center console.. thought I should probably do that, seeing and I have the leather bit and all

I just pulled a whole center console off. There's two 10mm bolts under the actual console that holds stuff; then in that same console, there's that carpet/padding. Take that off, and there's 3 more screws/bolts in there. There's also one screw on each side, under the kick panel of the passenger and driver's sides. Everything else should be pretty obvious when you pull the cupholder & the shift-boot-center-plastic peice off. Hope that helps.
