Default CD Load Problem

I have a 2004 ES330. I went to use the 6 disc changer for the first time today. I hit the load button, the door opened, and I inserted the CD in label up. It started to grab the CD and I let go but immediately spit it back out.

The door is now open and when I hit load, nothing happens. It says "wait" and then goes back to the radio. I tried to re-insert the CD but it does not grab it anymore and I was afraid to insert it all the way so I stopped.

Is there some type of reset anywhere? I shut the car off but that did not help.

Help

Maybe try taking the fuse out and then putting it back in... you'll probably have to redo your presets though

Thanks for the tip. That did not do anything and my presets stayed

I guess I'm going to bring it to the dealer.

I'm sure you tried this already, but did you try to put in a different CD, esp. one that is not a CD rewriteable? The in-dash CD changer works great on our '05 Sienna minivan, but never heard of a problem like this before.

Why don't you bring the car to a Lexus dealer.......it should be a warranty repair.

I tried 2 different CD's that were purchased (not burned) so I don't think it's the CD itself.

It's very strange. Now when I start the car with the radio on, the first message on the display is "1 Wait". That's the same message I get when I hit the load button.

I tried to insert the CD a little further into the slot. When I hit the load button, the rollers eject the CD.

I will make an appointment with the dealer. I was just looking for a quick fix if somebody ran into this same problem.

Thanks
