Default CD stuck in changer

Well, I've had my car for less than a week and a CD is stuck in the changer! It was #6 (don't know if that makes a difference). It's not a burned CD (it has a silkscreened label - not paper).

Any ideas? The door/cover is stuck open so just the dust flaps are visible.

someone else on the board helped me with this when i had the same problem. if what you have is the same problem i had...you just have to press the eject button and while it makes that noise, try inserting another cd into the drive and if you keep pushing it in, not too much, the jammed cd should come out. hope that helps.

i remember this happening in my volvo s80 i believe. you can try that trick but if it doesn't work, just bring it to the dealer and have them fix it. it should be under warranty anyway.

By doing so, it would trigger the changer to spit out the problem disc. In fact I did this twice, because I was stupid enough to reload the problem disc back in hoping it'll play but instead it gave me the same error.
Goodluck
Thanks Bynumite - that did the trick! I agree with the original poster - anything to avoid the dealership!

Oh, and by the way - if anything like this needs replaced in a new car, it's replaced with a "remanufactured" unit, not a new one. Another reason not to take it in.

THIS FORUM ROCKS!!!
