Default Front Camber Adjustment

I haven't been able to find and Camber bolts yet for th ct200h (just a simple cam bolt, but needs to be able to be torqued to 177ft lbs as per the manual)

Lexus does offer different sized bolts, and using a combination of them one can get different camber settings.

There is a chart in the manual which you need to follow in order to get the desired camber, but that is for a stock ride height CT200.

It looks like using part number 90105-17018 bolts (referred to as *f in the chart) on both top and bottom of the knuckle, one can get -1.50 to -1.25 degrees of camber. Again this is on stock ride height.

The bolts are only $5 each so a combination of them may be used to get the right results,,even if you have to order multiple bolts it would be under $50 or so.

Here on Sewell, the chart on top left has somewhat of a description of the available bolts.

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...200h-2012.html

The one they are referring to as Type C, appears to be the one referred to as f* in our OEM service manual. (Has two dots on the right side of the bolt head, and one dot on the left)

For my upcoming set of wheels, 18x9.5 +38 I will need some negative camber to clear the fenders as the suspension compresses. I am going to go ahead and order these bolts and try them out and throw it on a buddies alignment machine to see how much camber this setup yields with Tanabe Lowering springs.

Hope this can help some guys!

I don't think there is actually a cam on the Type C bolt, I believe it is just necked down enough for one to move the knuckle inward towards the strut, allowing for some negative camber, then one must tighten the bolts to spec in order to hold that camber angle.

In the shop/repair manual it says to loosen the top and bottom bolts on the front struts and then simply push the strut inward to gain neg camber. That type c def looks like you will have more room to "push" in. Keep us posted w your results!

Yeah exactly. If the larger diameter bolt is in there now there's not much wiggle room. With the smaller diameter bolt you can move the knuckle further inward!

I think you should be fine with 38 offset and tanabe lowering springs. I am running 19x8.5 with 35 offset on tanabe lowering springs. I don't have any rubbing issue

I have the bolts, just been busy with work and other projects. I will try to put them on this week and check the camber. My wheels should be here next wed, so I have to do it soon anyway!

Still didn't get a chance. But I ordered the Eastwood fender roller and might do a slight pull on the fenders to accomadate the 235 tires without too much camber.
I'm getting stuff painted anyway So I might just do that and pull then do some body / paint work if needed.

Got my wheels! Woohoo!

My setup is:
18x9.5 +38
235/40/18 tires
Front upper and lower camber bolts from Lexus, smallest diameter they make.
Tanabe lowering springs

And voila! Only drove about 50 miles with them, but so far so good. Clears just fine!

It is very very close, so if you hit an incline with the wheel turned, fender damage may occur. I'm still debating pulling the fenders before I go get some paint stuff done....
