An otherwise stock 6-speed SC430 however, once properly setup, really has nothing to go wrong with it short of regular maintenance.

I'd fly out anywhere in the country to see a car like this and drive it home. Even to Washington state (I'm in Florida).

I'm just upset that Lexus doesn't offer anything like this anymore. I have been car shopping for about 6 months now and trying my damndest to stay with Lexus but I am going to have to defect to another brand that makes a proper modern sportscar with 3 pedals in it. Ugh.

I will still follow this conversion tho.

Thanks again, fellas.
I thought I was the only one who cared. Unfortunately I'm too attached to the third pedal, having driven them since I got my license at 16 and have had maybe 2 or 3 experiences driving an autotragic. At the same time I love how the reliability and the level of quality and attention to detail Lexus vehicles offer, which is why I've owned the only Lexus vehicles with a proper manual transmission, the SC300 and the IS300 (might get a 6spd IS250 in a couple of years).

With that said you can chalk me up as another person eager to hear of any updates that may come. I'm sure as the prices drop ever further for the 3GS and SC430 (two of the cars I am interested in the future, if not for their tranny options) that there will be more people considering major modifications for them.

So are these still available. I want to do this in conjunction with my twin turbo project.

Has anyone actually completed the manual transmission conversion on the SC430?
