The mod hammer drops for every little thing it seems. At some point this site will have more mods than actual people posting if this keeps up. Yes yes I'll exit the thread cuz you mods are offended.

I agree sometimes it can be overkill, but every thread about a new car gets dragged down into a battle about that same car from 30 years ago from the same posters and it gets tiresome. If someone wants to talk about a 30 year old Accord, by all means start a thread on it...

Completely agree. It is fun to look back and reminisce....but it gets a little too cliche after a while
My wife's company car is the current gen Accord Hybrid. I like it. 600 miles of range that can be replenished in less than 5 minutes. Powered by the electric motors almost all the time. No transmission. Very peppy off the line. Her's is loaded, so it's very comfortable and rides really nice. Great car for the money.
i think the 2.0T was a very potent engine, pretty decent for what is was. i have not experienced the new 1.5T but i bet it's not a complete slouch.
the standard of what is fast/quick keeps changing so if you compare the accord to it's natural rivals (not many) yes it might be sluggish.
for the target buyer, i think the accord will still be just fine but all ICE/sedan's days are numbered. the hybrid will stretch it just a bit.
My last hope was it looked better in person, but sadly it does not. Even worse in person. A true frump-fest, several generations backwards, with the outgoing model looking far more dynamic. I honestly don't think Honda did this on purpose. The new HR-V is also frumpy. They have the skills to produce huge misses. It's just odd the Civic turned out so sharp and lithe compared to everything else.
