A capless filler wouldn't prevent me from buying a car or SUV. For me, it would be a non-issue.

How is there more plastic than if you had a plastic gas cap?

I like on our old MDX if you unlocked the doors using key fob #1 it would automatically load to my wife seating position, mirrors and radio settings. If I used my key fob #2 it would automatically adjust everything to my settings.

Honda labels fobs "1" and "2" from the factory, corresponding with the memory seat settings; I assume Acura does this too.

You don't know what you're talking about. They work fine. I've had zero issues with them in over 10 years.

You can always find some problems, that doesn't mean they are commonly problems.

Lexus/Toyota vehicles can be set to do this too

A problem to a solution that doesn’t exist. It’s a cost cutting measure. Just like the gas door linking to the door locks.

Yeah I'm sure in the world there are issues, doesn't mean that they are common issues, I can say for sure with Chrysler vehicles it isn't because I read those forums.

I am just saying. A solution to a problem that just doesn’t exist. It’s a cost cutting measure.

Personally I like the solution, I like not having to unscrew and rescrew a cap. I also don’t see how it’s a cost cutting measure, the spring loaded mechanism is undoubtedly more expensive than a plastic cap.

Stuff breaks on every car. You don't have to like capless gas tanks, but finding 2 online complaints about something isn't real evidence it's a bad system. You can find 1000s of complaints about Lexus vehicles right here on CL.
