My telescoping motor made it 20 years!!! It's toast but the tilt is still fine.
I'll get around to fixing it at some point.

Yes and so do some of the speakers, the gen before mine commonly has issues but it's much better in mine and there are repair kits for both gens.

a motorized telescoping steering wheel is the greatest thing ever
…until it breaks and then it’s the dumbest

Right. Imagine in 20 years how many times those motors worked. It's not a shock. Technically it doesn't even need a new motor, it needs heavy duty grease. I simply keep it non-telescoped and still enjoy the tilt. When it's hot the telescope struggles.
What's your point? I'm fine with broken steering wheel motor bills and zero car payments ever, lol. Until this I haven't even put a grand into the car for repairs and that included... a door lock.

I love my telescopic steering wheel.
AND it has a button too for easy adjustment.
Wife moves the wheel and mirrors every week when she goes to the store.
My car has memory but I never set it up, I just push the button.

My point is like I said, they’re a common failure…even yours is broken.
Like I said before, you need to lighten up…sheesh.

why not? It’s one of our most used feature, I wouldn’t buy a car without memory seats and memory telescoping wheel.

Um, that would require me to read the owners manual. Lol
It's sitting nearly in the shelf in my closet where it's been left untouched since I bought my car. Haha
My buttons work ok for me.

You hold down SET, and press the seat setting you want to set and it beeps and thats it. Why do you need the manual?
