American Honda August Sales Constrained by Supply Issues; Bright Spots Remain
- MDX continues to top Acura sales, overcoming inventory issues to reach sales of over 3,000 units
- End of May we were told MSRP + $2500 for an MDX.
- End of Aug (last week): We picked it up for MSRP + $400 (tint).
From my anecdotal experience, Honda/Acura might be feeling the lower sales numbers and adjusting to the market.

Honda is bit player on the global scale and their pathetically fragile supply chain reflects that. They have absolutely no hope of outdoing Hyundai Motor Group which is now the third largest OEM in the world by volume.
Alternatively, I have been hearing anecdotes of MDX Type S's sitting on dealer lots with no markups not selling for months on Acurazine, though anecdotes are anecdotes.
