about that thunderbird... i really felt that was an underappreciated re-release of a classic ford brand. i thought it was quite elegant.

I was in Tysons Corner, VA today and the cars at the mall here just amaze me every time I come here. Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley, AMGs, etc all over just parked among the common folk. Every time I come to this mall it amazes me how crowded the stores are and people have multiple bags with thousands of dollars of stuff in there, insane.

Here is what I saw at my pool today and it looked really good in that metallic green.

I also liked the Thunderbird.

so this is amazing, reason 100 why a great independent mechanic is better than the dealer. I got the cars washed today, and twice a year or so I wipe down the engine bay and dress all the plastics etc. Opened the hood just now to find the engine completely detailed and dressed. My independent mechanic must have done that when he did the B service last month, didn’t charge me or even say anything to be about it. How amazing is that?

Back seats are for they kids and happy meals so more plastic just means it hoses down easier. Haha

One of my relatives from Canada just got an S650, wrong engine but still nice to see one in person. Interior is better than the old one in many ways but it's still just a mustang

The people we bought our house from had a 2000 (I believe) T Bird like this. It was the owners' pride and joy and was kept under a car cover in the garage.

Its the chassis code, like W223 for the S Class. The previous Mustang was the S550 chassis.

for basically that car's entire existence i had written it off as 'just a ford' and never really paid much attention to it... but like 5 years ago the toyota dealership i worked at had a used one for sale and i sold it to some chill 70 something guy, and i got to be the one to drive it to his house for the delivery

it was a nice thing to drive! at one point toward the end of the trip i got to give it some beans (in a respectful manner of course lol) and the engine really impressed me! seemed almost too good to be an early 2000s ford engine, at which point i did a quick google search and learned it's actually a jaguar V8 lol... since then i've been a fan of that car, and i agree it's definitely underappreciated

I want the '66 Thunderbird from Thelma and Louise. That had a 7.0L, wasn't slow (for the time).

Quick review of a car I'm interested in, I don't like the fact that they confirm my fear that the PDK isn't as smooth as the ZF8. Makes it really difficult to decide on my next 4 door lol!

You are right I'm just picky lol!

I don't want to give up anything when I get a new car, and this is gonna be quite expensive so I'm being more particular than normal. Doesn't really matter right now since I have another car in front of my next 4 door but I am still surveying stuff for a few years out.

Have you driven one? They are stunningly beautiful and well made inside and out, but IMO they don't ride and drive as well as what I have let alone any better. From a driving enjoyment perspective, your W12 is superior or very similar to that car. You buy the Bentley for the other things, the beauty and quality and interior etc.
