The only suggestion I have about the noise is to check the balancing. Maybe one of them is off and putting stress on the bearing?
When time comes to replace, you can also add Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02s to your list. I haven't used the summers, but used the equivalent all-seasons (DWS) in the past and found them very quiet.

I probably haven't balanced them since new, other than one or two when swapping a TPMS sensor (I should probably just get new OEM ones, although I'm pretty sure that their batteries will be toast too - ridiculous design). No vibrations or other telltale signs, though. Still.
Re: extreme contact - I've almost set my mind on moving away from "UHP" tires for once. The opinion changes every other minute, so at the end of the day it'll probably end up being a choice of what's new, good and available right here and now. Performance will probably be enough in all cases, I'm quite content with my winters (225/50/17 alpin 6) in sub-10c(50f) weather, the only thing that I'll probably "miss" is the directness of a sportier tire, but then again 245/40/18 should be quite a bit more direct either way. Funnily enough, the pilot sports don't really impress with all-out traction here - again, might be the bad roads. Haven't done any braking runs with Dragy - perhaps I should start putting it to actual good use
Anyways, available stuff (97Y XL, NOT run flat even though I should probably reevaluate if they've somehow gotten surprisingly good - don't mind the price if there are no other drawbacks):
-Conti PC7 (only 2 in stock with this chain in the whole country supposedly lol, but a call might change this) (SC7 is not in stock for my size)
-Goodyear F1 asym 6 (& the eagle f1 but we're entering imo-silly-for-the-car territory)
-Bridgestone Turanza 6 (definitely not looking at the potenza sport, would be a bit silly to have a performance-biased uhp with very bad wear/rolling resistance on a daily GSh ^^)
-Michelin PS5 (& CC2 but with lower speed & load rating, again - not looking for all seasons for the summer set, primacy4+ is not available and is not as class leading as you'd expect of the brand, according to various tests... and I think they still have that ultra impossibly annoying to clean sidewall like on the alpin 6's - automatic last on the list)
-Pirelli - the old C7 (sadly) & the PZ4... no.
Anyways, first a balance check. I did play around swapping tires today (front winters, rear summers - put them all through the rear) and I can't pick any one of them that makes more noise than usual, so I'm guessing that they're just worn despite having a lot of thread. We'll see.

What good is having 100 gas pumps when you need 500. Lol
For the same reason, I will be staying home this 4th of July.
Lots of locals always do fireworks anyway and it's not worth it to me to get stuck in a traffic jam at the beach for an hour to go see it.
Thought so..
And I feel you all on "staying home". We are not even dealing with going out on the boat on July 4 weekend. It will be nothing but police and idiots, pretty much. Fine staying here, but LMAO I'm driving by the Buckees tomorrow on my way to Dandridge!!! I need gas anyway!

Water is cold, but not too cold to swim.
But yeah we're staying here...gonna have a fireworks party in the street with the neighbors. And yes mmarshall I realize fireworks are illegal in MD lol

Depends on the jurisdiction. I know Montgomery County is strict on the fireworks code....not necessarily the same for other places in the state. Some jurisdictions allow small ground-level fireworks that don't shoot high in the air or make long plumes of flame
Fireworks to me are old hat. I've seen some of the greatest displays in the country, many times, including the ones on the Mall. Doesn't excite me that much any more.
