Well I might as well tell the whole story just for fun. lol
My dad is in his 70's and likes to wear baggy cargo shorts with big low pockets.
He puts his I-Phone in the big pocket so he can reach it easy but the pocket has no flap.
I warned him about going to the store like that and reached down and pulled his phone to show him how easy it is to get your phone stolen.
Well...
Last year he calls me and says someone stole his I-Phone out of his pocket while he was standing in line to get checked out at Walmart.
Surprised anyone??? haha
He said he called the police and they tracked the phone until it lost signal and was turned off somewhere in a bad neighbourhood across town.
So, since he had insurance he called and made a claim and the wait was 2 days to get one shipped expedited.
Very next day he calls me and says he needs a ride to a police station about 100 miles north.
Turns out whoever stole it- their father turned it in to a church and the church turned it into the police dept.
On the way back of approx 100 mile trip, I started my stopwatch on my Timex watch(don't laugh) and counted the mile markers back with cruise set to exactly 60 mph.
Did some math and came up with 2 MPH "over error" for the trip.
Timex watch with Indiglo technology.
Plz try to contain your excitement! haha
Yes, I wear an old man's Timex watch.
I'm not old, just on my early 50's but I like them and asked my wife to get it for me for Christmas.
I have 2 Times watches now, don't ya'll get jealous. haha
Nice watch. I just bought a $1000 Apple Watch for my spouses birthday.
Been watching a lot of stuff on the Telluride…the refresh is really a nice improvement IMO…
my sister bought one. Now I have red car syndrome. My brother has the Palisade and she recently went to say hello, so for fun they test drive each others vehicle

They are really well packaged, you get great interior space in what is a relatively compact exterior. It’s interesting how vehicles like the Atlas and Grand Cherokee L are much longer but have less combined legroom… the GLS for instance is 9 inches longer and has the same combined legroom…not to mention the same cabin noise reading as the GLS according to Alex
The posted limit is now up to 70 in the new I-66 Express Lanes.....still 55 in the regular lanes.
And that’s a good example. If you break 80 in the express lanes you will get stopped. But you won’t get stopped for 70-75 in the regular lanes.
I set my cruise at 80 almost all the time on a highway trip, and I blow by cops and they don’t even flinch as long as the speed limit is 65+ if the limit goes down to 55 and the flow of traffic slows down I will back it down to 75 or 70
That's right. haha
I know ur impressed with my high tech.
Nah, that was a joke... lol

When I think about it the tickets I've gotten were all for 15 over, etc. etc.
I set my cruise to 5 MPH over.
And then I drive in the fast lane.
Spoiler
First part is true but I made that last part up...
Me too. I can't believe how I used to spend my life in the car looking for cops, having to slow down, etc. etc. I guess that's just a part of being younger. Just drive the speed limit or with traffic and never worry about being pulled over (pretty much), that's much better. It took a while to get used to NOT getting nervous when I would spot cops either stopped looking for speeders or just in general.

Countermeasures do wonders man! If you have something like ALP+Radenso any concerns like that are a thing of the past.....

LOL. I assume that's some crazy expensive radar detector haha.
My Lexus vehicles soothe me and so does this Mercedes, but it does get my pulse up when I start having fun with it. Not a sports car but damn it's fun. Like I said I keep my garage closed when I start it just to bask in listening to that German V8 starter. I accelerate fast quite a bit with it but I usually slow down back to the speed limit.
LS is a snooze mobile but that's how I like it and wouldn't want it in any other way. LX will get your pulse up but mostly when in its element having fun.
