I watched it. First, it sounded more like a company ad or PR than an actual engineering explanation. Second, while it may be true that the triangular frame-design and sheet-steel thickness gives it a strength-advantage, that pyramid-point does also contribute to substantially less space-efficiency than a traditional three-box pickup.
So let me ask you this. What are you going to say when it outsells every single pickup truck on the market?
If and when it does (and that is a very long IF), I will comment. Until then............good luck, especially against the F-150 or F-150 Lightning.
I doubt the Cybertruk will take over the F-150 anytime soon. But the Lightning sales are already slipping. I think it is the dealer markups. Dealers are not doing Ford and favors.

I dunno. With over 1 million pre-orders, never say never. I'm not a fan of the Cybertruck myself and would get the F150 Lightning over it, but I'm not going to deny that there is a possibility that it could outsell all other trucks. Or at least come in a close second. But my money is on the Cybertruck

Can't be. Pickup trucks, at least the ones that are used as such, need to haul, tow, etc. Range is killed by a load, for EV or ICE trucks. But ICE trucks cn be filled quickly. Just my 2 cents.
A possible advantage the Cybertruk could have is price, we will see how that works out. Interesting times ahead.

For the hardcore pickup truck owners that uses them for work, hauling and towing, yes then I agree. Anyway lets see, maybe I'm being to optimistic
You mean people don't want a $100k truck that can barely tow your boat to the dock and back? No way. Not surprised one bit these aren't meeting sales projections.

Who said they aren't meeting sales projections? He said sales were slipping..

Best truck I've ever owned by a mile. It's absolutely fantastic. The reality is most people aren't towing boats every day. I have a boat at our lake house, it tows it better than any other truck I've had. By miles. It's like there's nothing attached.
And as for demand, Ford can't keep up. There are a lot of people who wanted the lower trims, but Ford isn't making many of them so people back out. But for every one that does, there's someone willing to get a higher trim.

Glad you like yours! I do want to see how many of these they do end up selling. I've seen one out so far. I do like that they look pretty much the same as the regular F150, not radically different.
Ford is supposedly ramping up to 150,000 Lightnings per year. Cybertruck is going to sell very well, but it will take time to ramp production (just as it did for Ford) and it's going to be highly unlikely Tesla will meet the base model price targets. Just like every other electric truck you're going to see top models before you see many base models.
