Most commonly sold firearm in the US at this point is the AR-15, and .223 will probably poke right through that.

I'm not looking for a bulletproof vehicle, I just don't drive around in neighborhoods where I'm likely to get shot.

Here’s a brand new GMC work truck. $43k, no frills.

CT will never be bought over these by fleets, construction, etc.… Look how huge the bed is just for starters. These are designed for exactly what they get used for and they’re excellent.

MASSIVE bed:

Guys it’s okay to call a spade a spade. Nobody is lusting after these work trucks here, and you’re not going to see a truck like this as a status symbol, or everywhere in tony areas like the CT.

But this is an EXCELLENT work truck here.

I could see wealthy company owners maybe buying a CT for themselves to use.

The fleet will continue getting base model 1500's as long as they are available.

Maybe, blue tip won't.....I would wager that solids or black tip will. If out of a P90 it should work with any type of projectile IMO

I really want to see a hit from a 1300+ FPS .35 cal projectile though, they very much kept the velo to around 1000 and that's quite easy to stop. Even something like a Lehigh solid would be interesting since my personal .45 handloads with those defeat IIIA armor

Its still really cool that a stock vehicle has any ability at all to resist though.

If it can handle a sledgehammer and below, I'm fine with that

You are forced to sit in Cybertruck or F-150 while someone fires a 9mm at the door. Which do you choose.

If I could pick any F150 then easily the F150 since armormax makes a VR7 rated one.

Neither? I think a 9mm at close enough range would penetrate a CT door.

You know, when thinking about all the vehicles that we have at home, and I'm quite annoyed with myself about this oversight, I now realize that I'd completely overlooked how well they might handle being shot at when we were buying them.

You'd better go out and fire a few rounds into each of them to see how they fare.

Reporting back. It didn't go very well. I'm hoping it will buff out.
