Bad news for the CT and owners. Ranged extender for the CT is dead and autosteer (available on all other models via regular AP) is limited to FSD now
Range extender always seemed kinda niche to me considering how much space it took up in the bed, but it would've been a nice to have for the overlanders and roadtrippers
Finally got to drive a Cyber Truck, people have read all sorts of things about it so I'll just talk a little bit about what I like about it, and what I hate. But before that, this is for Bob and @Margate330:
I'm pretty sure I heard a moan
Let me get out of the way the things I hate about it. It's still ugly, and when you are behind one, it looks like a big silver squared box someone put together in their garage. It's just ugly to me, I'm not going to sugar coat it. Also, putting the rear view mirror in the screen when the tonneau is closed is a bit of a joke. It works, but now you taking room on the screen.
Now the good stuff. It drives simply amazing, and it has a ton of power and instant on demand torque. Drives better than any truck I've ever driven or driven in EXCEPT the F-150 Lightning, they seem on par. The air suspension is amazing, and this giant heavy monstrosity handles amazingly well. It's very quiet, and almost no wind or tire noise on the highway. It's interior is pretty comfortable and it's roomy. But the best part is the steering, it's just amazing. At slower speeds I had to get used to it, but I adjusted really quickly. It can get in and out of tight spots, and making a U-turn is seamless. This is a tech they really need to move to their other vehicles.
The Cyber Truck has a heart of gold, it's pretty on the inside, but even putting a bag on the head of this one just ain't gonna cut it
Still attracts a lot of attention. Pulled up to the office and co-workers started coming out to see it
nice feedback. when i drove a cybertruck, while i really appreciated the tech in it (aws, variable ratio steering, air suspension, etc), i simply didn't like driving it. maybe because it's just so big and bulky.
not putting in a digital mirror is a horrible choice.
and yes, the tech NEEDS to come to at least the S and X.
Did you drive the dual or the tri motor? Kyle from Out of Spec was complaining that his trimotor had a clunky ride because it was primarily FWD since the dual motors were up front

Variable steering is a massive difference, it's jarring to back to stuff that doesn't have it for a few days. The difference in two otherwise identical cars is like the non-variable car feels 4 ft longer/you have to crank the wheel WAY more at slow speeds and less direct at higher ones
Good review. I've had people tell me they drive and ride better than any other Tesla. Did it ride better than your 3?
Oh yeah, it rides much better. You can go over speed bumps like nothing. But like Bit mentioned, it's so big and heavy I was a little nervous and being cautious. But damn it handles really well. Just can't get over the ugly... and the sharp panels
I keep hearing of unsold inventory. When is the clearance sale offers like 0% or inventory discounts/concessions?
There were about 10 Cyber trucks at the Tesla Fremont factory. Four were demos for test driving.
The Fremont showroom was nearly empty, maybe 10 or 15 people shopping around. It's usually bustling with hundreds of people. Anyone who says Elon didn't damage Tesla is delusional
