Of course. Value is a huge part of why someone would buy this car. There is no problem mentioning value.

Might want to read it again lol
This latest crop of Genesis vehicles—none of which can legitimately be described as a badge-engineered Hyundai or Kia—reveals an innovative brand flexing its design and engineering muscles. It no longer strives to be a fast-follower, "reverse-engineering" fads and features originated by its competitors; instead, it's a leader in this heady space. Genesis vehicles can now sell on their own legitimate merits, not simply as bargain alternatives to the establishment benchmarks. No surprise, this ranked the G90 strongly against our Of The Year criteria.

Hyundai has gone a long way. Looks like they are where Lexus was once at before.

Did you at some point say MT was garbage? Or it was someone else?

That was Bit. Personally, I don't think Motor Trend is always on the mark (PT Cruiser for COTY lol) but this was a sensible choice.

Shameful Hyundai didn’t put a V8 in the G90

Like it or not, V8s are on their way out. At that price delta, if the V6 is smooth I can live with that.

Rather than shameful you could argue that Genesis was smart not to offer a V8. It's a dying breed and to offer one for a couple of years would not make financial sense. G90 volume in NA is small and if a V8 represented 10% of the volume the numbers would be tiny.

Review from Kirk Kreifels, unofficial YouTube Lexus spokesperson lol. He's driven the LS500 on numerous occasions from back when he worked at the dealerships, and he did not mince his words on how it compares to the G90 (@19:00).

I posted in the general car convo section that I saw a black 2023 G90 on the road about 2 weeks ago. It looked absolutely awesome. It has substantially more road presence as a flagship sedan than the prior model G90. In the video review posted above, he mentions around the 0:25 to 0:35 range about the design from the side. There is something about the sloping rear roof line and the front wheel well to the hood area that gives this car a very different look than its predecessor. He says the roofline has some Rolls Royce influence from the side. It's a stunning car in person and while in motion. Kudos to Genesis, I think this is an absolute homerun luxury sedan.

I liked the pre refresh better. This looks a tad goofy to me. I'm sure it's a great car though.
