Go ask the owners. I looked into one of these before I went Lexus and there weren't too many happy owners.
Where's the recall and lawsuit you mentioned for the 5.0L V8? Tau engine isn't even mentioned in the first link, the other two are forum anecdotes.

GM has way more applications for that engine, Hyundai has none of volume. Just doesn’t make sense for them.

GM spending all that money on a new V8 just to kill it, sounds like typical GM.

You said nobody. But there are some that are. Hyundai used to have a coupe...KIa had a V8 sedan...KIA had a V8 body on frame SUV.

The first link is Hyundai Kia, so that one has nothing to do with the 5.0L. The other two are forum posts all the way back from 2016. One post mentions that Genesis fixed the problem from 2012: "it appears that Hyundai figured this out and any vehicles with build dates after Feb. or March of 2012, possibly earlier, have good rings in them with no consumption problems. I have a 2012 5.0 built in June. Love the vehicle and it has been perfection since I first left the dealer with it.."

First of all, you can't go by forums, as the only people who post in forums are enthusiasts, someone looking for information about the car they own or are looking to own, or someone actually having an issue. Forums tend to amplify problems, and anecdotes just don't count

No Hyundai coupe ever had a V8, and the only Kia sedan ever to have a V8 was the K900, which lost it even before the G90. The Kia Borrego also axed the V8 in 2019.

Impressive cabin noise test in Alex's video- it's the quietest car in the entire segment that he's ever tested. And the poor LS500 continues to be a punching bag in every new G90 review.

I thought this was interesting, and I went back and watched a few, and its not true. He rated the W223 S580 at the same 68.5 dB and he rated the W222 S560 at a quieter 68.0 dB. G12 7 Series was also 68.5 dB. I thought his comment was dubious because I had heard him rate cars at that sound pressure before.

Its very impressive, but saying its the quietest car in the segment isn't accurate by his own measurements.

But its still not the quietest car he has ever tested, the accurate statement is its as quiet as the quietest cars on the road.

LS600hL is no quieter than any other LS underway. My S560 is definately quieter than my LS460s were, mainly in the area of road noise isolation. The LS was a little better sealed from wind noise, but that could have been my perception because it didn't hide road noise as well. dB readings on both cars are identical, about 58/59 dB at 75MPH. I have never tested a car quieter than that, but I have tested several cars similarly quiet.

I still haven't decided myself. My W12 is 5 DB quieter than any other car I've tested but that's likely due to the extra sound deadening and softer interior materials, it's strange since certain things that would not have been noticeable in other cars are in this one. It's the best of my 4 at wind noise though, at 130 it doesn't have any draft type noise where the other D4 does and the 460 can sometimes have some pending on if there is wind or not.

I'll add that at low speed the LS460 seems quieter in a way since the road impacts are not as noticeable since it's base level of sound isolation is not as high. It's really hard to say though since both are so damn quiet that's it's almost pointless to try and compare them, I actually added the F-sport sound generator to the 460 so it's REALLY pointless since I added sound to it lol!
