2022 Lexus LX600 (4th gen)
Yes but at least they're sticking with the lineage. I would be hugely disappointed if they turned it into a grocery getter. There is something special about having all of that on tap. I considered a Yukon Denali at one point, the thing would get stuck in a mud puddle from the looks of it. The hardware and potential is all there on those, it's just they ruin it with the huge rims and Denali effects.
LX has been same formula since 1995 at the beginning, ultra capable. I like that a lot.

I like the Lexus script. I really dislike the fake or covers for where the tail pipes wou;d be. Audi does this and I think it looks crappy and unfinished

It's always been a rebadged Land Cruiser and very capable off road. In this case rebadging is a good thing. Keeping the name and formula alive was a smart move IMO.
Also I agree about the lower trim, especially that silver looking stuff around the lower rear bumper near the tow hitch area. Looks terrible.
Overall I still quite like this, though.

No they dont... LX is best selling Lexus and best selling luxury vehicle in Middle East. It usually outsells Range Rover 7-8:1. Toyota is #1 brand in Middle East and Lexus is usually top 5. In some countries, Lexus LX is top 3 best selling vehicle in the market.
And Prado does not sell well in Middle East, while LC is usually one of the best sellers.
LX is definitely not made primarily for North America, what made you think that? I dont think even 7-8% of them end up in USA, right now it is really a small market for it.

i know people with RRs... they love 'em, no issues. Last i checked, RRs are selling well. If they were 'pieces of junk' i doubt that would be the case. But what the hell is going on with that bumper? A round cutout, for what, and weird recessed part left and right, for what?
having said that, i like the side profile with the squared off wheel openings and nice rims.
However RRs are at the bottom of the list by a considerable margin for reliability. I wouldn't trust it much off the trail or for anything, really.
I know lots of people who have them too, and lots of people who have had problems. But, they don't leave people stranded, they just have a lot of electrical quirks and problems. Gauge screens that just randomly don't work, one of my friends' smells like gas inside all the time and they can't figure out why, etc.
Unless this new LX is surprisingly incredible, I still wouldn't get an LX over a Range Rover, but I would have a hard time choosing a RR over something that has a better track record for reliability like an X7 or a GLS or Q7 or Q8 etc, although the RR is what I would want.

RRs are for the lease type like yourself and those that want new lux all the time.
Sure, just saying what I myself would buy. Even to lease I would be worried about the dependability of a RR.
A RR that smells like gasoline inside and they can’t even diagnose let alone fix it? That’s nice.
I don’t even have words for how pathetic that is. But they sure do look good. I like how they seem to be very customizable.
