I mean this thing is more obnoxious than ever, I could never look at it with a straight face. Almost as bad as the new BMW ones.

Also why is there no V8 or hybrid option with more power?
A V6 in a giant SUV is not enough especially as this will be $100k or more.

Here is more detailed look - helps if you know Russian. The dual screen layout looks really bad as they are from 2 different cars with different size and resolution quality.

Maybe not for sports car owners but their new V6 TT with 409 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque are fine for this size SUV imo. It's 441 lbs less so it's not much heavier than the std X5 with 335 hp and 331 lb-ft torque. I feel more than adequate with the standard X5. I watched that video too and since I don't know Russian, my thought was... damn it's hot. The more I know about this thing the more I like it.

with weight loss and that engine i'm sure it will feel plenty powerful. it would be great if they offer it with the iforce max setup at some point though.

The LX is much larger than X5.
BMW does offer X7 with 6cyl as well for its base model but most ppl opt for the V8, where as on X5 the 6cyl is the volume seller.

My X3 has the higher tuned B58 with 382hp and in regular mode its sufficient to quick but I don’t think it would be satisfactory on a larger SUV weighing 1,000 pounds more.

200″ L x 78″ W x 75″ H vs. 194″ L x 79″ W x 69″ H to be exact. The new one may be smaller too. The standard X5 is faster than the GS. How much power needed is a personal thing. But I think those new numbers are plenty for this SUV.

Finally, an actual good look at the top screen infotainment. It does indeed appear to be using the same software as the NX, which makes the disparity with the ancient lower screen even more bizarre.

this is interesting, comparing the lc200 vs 300; I think we are getting the similar drive train.
Seems off the line the lc300 walks away from the lc200 but when they are climbing the hill, later /mid video you can see the lc200 not only keeps up but at times beats the lc300.
I don't get this, the new ones have more TQ hence they should do better on climbs?

I don't know their language so I just watched a few random bits. Thanks for sharing.

That V8 is a jewel old or not, massive naturally aspirated torque off idle...no turbos, etc. Just a big truck engine....that works.

I want to know how much faster on the road the 300 is than the 200.

Lc300 is so much faster than lc200... same will be with lx.

As to the dunes, one of the lc200s had really deep threaded tires, should be much better for climbing up sand.

Whoever has lx570, new lx600 will feel a lot faster

It is not ancient at all, if you check when they pick colors for ambient lighting, it is same config as in nx ambient selection screen.

I would love to see proof that most X7 buyers opt for the V8. I’m skeptical.

I have personally never seen 40i version and i see at least 10 X7s per day.

For X5 - its very rare i see the M50i version with V8. I see more X5Ms.

regardless they are selling about 20 to 21k of x7 a year, pretty much beating GLS and others. Seems consumers like them a lot.
