Surprised the GV60 is actually smaller than its Ioniq 5/EV6 brothers.

Also surprised how the Model Y is compared to it even though I think the GV60 is more luxurious inside. Similar price, I know.

I guess Tesla is still the EV King regardless that it can be compared to the Ioniq 5 and GV60.

GV60 Performance at $69K means EV6 GT is...? Pricey either way.

Have not heard from my local dealership yet since my reservation, but maybe I can be lucky.

They need a standalone Genesis dealership in the Bay Area. Santa Clara should work.

I think the Ionic 5 looks far better than the Genesis EV

Listened to the CR podcast today. They liked but did not love the new Genie. They say it’s more premium vs luxury. Not quite worthy of the badge as it the interior is not as good as the MSRP is asking

CR said the Ioniq 5 was one of the best cars they ever tested. GV60 was a fine car and only $3k more than an Ioniq 5

Default 2023 Genesis GV60 Throttle House review

Here is a Throttle House review of the 2023 Genesis GV60

It's a luxury version of the Kia EV6. It charged at a 350 kW Electrify Canada in 12 minutes

Looks hideous from every angle... Is this the same company that put out the GV70 and GV80? interior also looks cheap with that tacked/glued on instrument cluster and infotainment screen.

Feels like the Throttle House guys were at a bit of a loss as to how to present this car, because it's literally just a faster Ioniq 5/EV6 with a better interior. It also appears that Genesis isn't doing a coordinated press launch of this car since reviews are just popping up sporadically at different times, probably because they barely have any to sell.

I'm not a fan of the review style of these guys. Too much clown, not enough review.

I would buy this over the Toyota/Lexus EV'S in a heartbeat. It's looks may not appeal to everyone, but it's a way, way better vehicle than the Toyota/Lexus offerings

I'd rather get the GV70 electric if it has the same range

I haven't seen the GV70 yet. Back to the GV60, for the money I would probably get the Kia EV6 over this because you get almost everything offered here, it looks better, has more power and range for a lower price. As far as looks, that is subjective, some find the GV60 hideous and some don't. But my general observation of EV owners is that most don't really care about the looks. They are more into the practicality, performance and overall savings of EV ownership. Look at Bolt owners...the Chevy Bolt is not the prettiest car in town, but I haven't met a Bolt owner yet who doesn't love them. Also some Tesla Model 3 owners I know didn't particularly buy one for the looks or the simplistic cabin, but they love the overall performance and practicality it offers. Early adopters generally care less about looks and more about the tech

GV60 will only be sold in 4 states and according to the Genesis website you literally can't even preorder one anymore, so I don't think it's even a valid choice for most people when it's basically unavailable until the next model year. For the US market, Genesis is putting all their chips on the GV70 EV since that's being built domestically in the Hyundai Alabama plant and will therefore probably have greater volume than any existing Genesis vehicle, even the ICE ones.

Thomas joking about reliability issues with Hyundai... Too easy.

Genesis Concierge reached out to me since I made a deposit for the GV60 and luckily live in California.

Unfortunately, they have no control over markups and when they told me the Hyundai dealership I would be working with...

20% ADM. Wow.

I hope that 20% is going to build a separate Genesis dealership.

You've been busy with car buying . With the market the way it is maybe you will get lucky and actually be able to bring one home before Christmas
