Yep, I've been reading the same thread. I've also read quite a few posts where the owners are very happy with their car. I hope you fall into the latter camp!

I will be, when I see a thread like that I lower my expectations and that way I don’t feel as bad if things aren’t great. Some stuff would bother me like some of the bad paint blemishes that I just can’t believe made it through QC or failing suspension but a little vein on the yoke airbag or a little buzz sound coming from the yoke or even a couple misaligned panels doesn’t bother me.

I did get an email today that my car is in and I can pick it up earlier but of course this is the busiest week of the year for me so not sure I will have time to change the pickup date. It would have been really nice is they delivered it to me but that’s not expected.

I ended up buying, Tesla leases are terrible and they don’t give you the option of buying out the lease at the end and I don’t like that.

I was able to schedule an earlier pickup for this Thursday so only 2 more days.

Interesting read. They covered the pros and cons of their experience pretty well.

They gave a shout out to the Model 3 Performance...said it was way more fun to drive . I can attest as my car has been way more fun than my IS350 F-sport. I'm hoping they release a Plaid version of the Model 3

Interesting C & D review. Not being able to achieve the top speed as well as the brake warning on the dash are not good. Great that 0-60mph is very fast. Chassis is quite old. I expect Porsche to exploit the model S's handling shortcomings in the future.

Nice to see them like the interior materials. I personally like the Yoke steering design although I haven't tried it out. I also think the minimal interior and the design is nice.

Verdict: "There's more to greatness than quickness." sums is it up well.

Picking up my Plaid now. Way better service picking it up compared to ordering. Found a few flaws in the paint that they are touching up now. On any other car it would drive me crazy but my expectations for Tesla is lower so it’s more acceptable to me. Weird thing is the right passenger door edge somehow was scraped all the way down like they dragged it. It is what it is.

I hope you give us the initial impression on flooring it. Make sure it's very open in front of you.

I will but it’s going straight to clear bra and then headed out of town until Monday so I won’t get much seat time until then. I will try to do a write up of the whole experience with pics once I have more time.

This 2021 Tesla model S plaid is impressive on paper. Gas powered supercars like Ferrari, Lamborghini and highly modified 911s, corvettes, M3s and mustangs should retire soon.

I would gladly accept one if Tesla would be willing to give it to me. Sure not willing to pony up the cash to purchase one, though....
