You know the new regular LR Model S at $85k is about as fast as the Turbo S Taycan. That new inverter design really helps the top end on the Model S...really really good improvement in performance for Tesla. Given its half the price, the regular LR may be the sweet spot for that type of car. The Taycan is the overall better car though since its made by Porsche. Can't beat Porsche quality and handling but they need to catch up to Tesla on their powertrain.

I love the Taycan's look in person. It looks expensive, well put together, and unmistakably Porsche.

I finally saw a new Taycan the other day. I thought it was amazingly beautiful.

How can it be a "wannabe supercar" when it is a supercar?

that's because if it's not tesla, you're not impressed.

yes, model S LR is a BARGAIN really... but obviously an entirely different kind of vehicle than a taycan.
model S LR (and plaid) is a bit like a dodge charger hellcat/demon/whatever... very fast, not super fancy or luxurious. still awesome though

i once saw someone describe its looks as being like the panamera's hotter sister, and in person i feel that's a pretty valid assessment lol

I wish the Taycan had as much interior volume as the Panamera, but that would have made it look worse like the EQE lol.

I think some Porsche's are works of art the Taycan not so much. You think a certain Mercedes is beautiful we all have our opinions.

I seriously considered a Taycan Turbo (non-S) and it was a little more than I wanted to spend since they start around $150k. I looked at used ones and they are still in the low $140’s at best used. The interior, fit and finish, braking and handling are better no doubt but Tesla in general is more tried and true and was $130k all in with what I picked. It was more of a budget buy for me between the two.

Taycan Turbo S gets me into a base 911 turbo. Don't know if I could pass that up if I had that type of budget
