What's your point? but seriously, lexus will continue to make a ton of money off this car. It's refined, it's reliable, it's comfortable and roomy, it's quiet and smooth, it holds its value very well.
Good point - I guess at 22K sales per year - it's worth making this car.
I'm proud to be among that group. I suppose that is your way of a put down because it's a not a Tesla. You're better than that.
Happy for you. And you don't know anything about me - my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that I have a Tesla (from a former owner of a Lexus GS400).

Its very strange to see the cheap shots at the ES. Not my favourite car but it is the ideal car for most people. The Lexus ES and RX are the two models of cars that Lexus really does well and it seems to be exactly what most of middle America truly want. I’m kinda surprised Cadillac never made a worthy competitor as Toyota has that exact segment all to themselves with the Toyota Avalon as well as the Lexus ES.

So its ok for you to say you don't like a car (Kia Stinger is total waste of time and a whole slew of other cars too many to name), but if someone else says they don't like a car because it's a Lexus, it's a cheap shot?

‘I think the issue is with the words “geriatrics”, that’s where the cheap was IMO. My folks are quite old and I’m getting there too. But yeah, KIA Stinger was a total waste of time for the brand. I think said that a few years ago when it debuted, just tried to keep it focused solely on the car or the brand and only the car or the brand …not the buyers or demographics of those who own them.

So saying a car is for old people is now a cheap shot? What about saying a car is for young people? What is that?

Hey, maybe I’m wrong.
So you like nothing about the ES? I don’t love the rear…but the packaging and the features are just stellar. lots of cool stuff. Even camera mirrors which are neat.
Yawn, is my reaction to this car - geared towards geriatrics is what this is.
I probably would have chosen a different word than geriatrics, but I agree that the ES has always sold very well among older drivers. In spite of falling sedan sales it's hung in there over the years and made a lot of money for Toyota/Lexus and the dealers. I see no immediate end in sight for this to change much.
The chart you posted would indicate sales per year that are about double that.

I imagine it’s the best selling luxury sedan the United States

Did you know that the ES scored a 82 over at Consumer Reports?
