no way I get the S class now with the '21 right around the corner...you'd be driving an outdated car (just my .02 tho)
And no way i'd get the first year new s-class. It's probably the most complex vehicle on earth... no telling what issues they'll have to fix after launch.
Personally, I like Mercedes Benz, but their maintenance costs are completely insane! Just behind MB in maintenance costs is BMW - hell they don’t even have dipsticks anymore & they rely heavily on the noisy, rough riding run flat tires. Have you looked at the Genesis G80? There is tremendous value there for a lot less money & their quality is better than any German brand. I also like the Audi. It’s cheaper to maintain & shares a lot of parts across the VW & Porsche platforms. Good luck in whatever you select!
I'm only going to have it for 45,000 miles, and with the BMW everything is included but brakes and tires. The Audi is $180 a month more than the Mercedes and $480 a month more than the BMW, so it can't be that much cheaper to maintain.

Who cares? I'm assuming Mercedes-Benz treats S-class owners right won't stick them with an A-class or CLA loaner.
SW - just curious what packages are you thinking about getting on the 750 for the price quoted? Merino leather, drivers assistance, executive, etc?
Its Nappa leather, but the leather dashboard and the alcantara headliner (an option thats strangely hard to get on either car), drivers assistance, executive, MSRP is like $110-111k

You’re now in that price segment where individual option packages cost like $6000

depends on dealer of course but even if they have the most astonishing 'service' i don't want my beautiful s-class in the shop for anything other than regular maintenance plus the hassle of either swapping loaner and car or the indignity of actually having to go to the dealer (something i've not done now in 3 years ).
but i believe all new first year cars come out significantly better than in the past. my first year '06 explorer was flawless except for a problematic cd changer they replaced. but still i'd want to wait 1 year before getting the new s-class model.

Sounds like what I would spec my car with but I wonder how the Nappa leather is compared to the Merino leather and if it is worth it. I know I picked Vernasca and it is a lower grade than Nappa but I wonder is Nappa is as good/soft as Lexus’ semi-analine leather. Also for a cheap price the integral active steering looks pretty cool and useful for a land yacht.
I had to read this 3 times to make sure I wasn't mis-interpreting anything. That's crazy!
Yeah, except in rare instances, Audi leases are shockingly bad. Regardless of one's opinion on leasing in general (and we certainly have the whole spectrum here), you should never lease an Audi.
