Unless Lexus drops in the V8 or the 3.5TT V6 I'm just not interested.

Ever since the 2019 Avalon was introduced, I believe all the US Toyota PR photos are showing the interiors with Carplay on the screen.

As someone who owned a 3IS F sport for three years, the G20 330I M sport is superior in handling and driving dynamics. M340i is in another league completely. So surely Lexus is not bench-marking the 3 series. 3IS was better drivers car compared to the pre facelift F30 which is why I got the Lexus. The updated F30 had improved many shortcomings of the the pre facelift car.

only a matter of time before they put the LS500 v6 into the IS. Should be able to propel the IS in the very low 4s

Here are some additional pictures. IMO easily the best looking sports sedan in the segment.

Yes, and I expressed my opinion that when compared the 3IS, the G20 handles and rides better. I haven’t driven the new IS, so I didn’t make any judgements, but my surprising G20 experience showed me that it’s a huge leap again from the F30, and potentially foreboding for the new IS.

Yes that’s my experience too. And for me they have made great strides in reliability.....look who Toyota turned to for nice engines!

That is a very well done evolution of the Lexus design language. Shame it is the face of a wolf with the heart of a lamb.

Besides the engine, what are the chassis and suspension differences between a 330i M sport and a M340i?

They are from the Global Toyota Japan site which I have posted a link to. Where you can download high res versions and zoom in.

I agree. The more I look at some of the new pictures, the more I like it. I would say the exterior is stunning except for the rear but I could live with it. As you allude to, the one thing I can't live with is the entire powertrain.

The predator grill is still hideous especially after you put a front plate.
I also don’t like the huge ugly rear diffuser. Otherwise its a good design and improvement on previous IS.

I wouldn't hold my breath. There is zero reason that engine isn't in the car now, at the refresh. If they didn't put it in now, they're not going to later.

I mean...at least redesign the damn engine cover...
