2021 Lexus IS
It’s a mixed bag for me. I’m beyond disappointed that Lexus carried over the same dated interior. The cabin in the current IS and RC are among the most ugliest interiors I’ve ever seen on a luxury/premium vehicle. And why would Lexus/Toyota update this vehicle without powered folding mirrors? Have they not listened to current and former IS owners?
On a positive note, I think the exterior is gorgeous. It’s looks far more sportier than the current 3 series in my opinion. But that’s not enough to sway potential buyers away from the 3 series in my view.

Knowing Lexus, they will update this refresh with their 2.4L Turbo and 3.5L TT next year quietly when all the hype and attention has died down, leaving only discerning Lexus fans to scoop up these units for a massive discount. That's what I would probably do since I love the exterior and I am really impressed by the 3.5 L TT.

Here are some additional pictures. IMO easily the best looking sports sedan in the segment.

You must know a different Lexus than I do, because nothing from my years of experience with Lexus would suggest to me that they would do that. If they did, it would be stupid, because you want to bring out updates when the hype and attention are at their peak. Why would they want to make a huge engine upgrade in a way that nobody would notice? Why would they want to make a car "for Lexus fans to scoop up at a massive discount"? They want to sell as many cars as they can for as much money as they can.
