Getting rid of physical buttons so you have to constantly slide and tap annoying screens, go through menu's has to be one of the dumbest trends in modern automobiles.
It just looked dangerous what that guy was having to do to taking his eyes off the road to adjust or enable something for so long, he looked somewhat confused and this is on a highway with no cars and using a self driving feature, imagine if he had to do that on a busy highway full of cars weaving in and out, braking, merging traffic, etc while in full control.

Hmmmmm. Watch the very beginning where they show the truck driving. I must say looking at a black one in motion with all the exterior lights on while driving looks wayyyyy better than any still pictures I've seen.

The Escalade started the trend, but now almost every car is over the top. The new escalade almost looks elegant compared to the x7 and the LX with their ridiculous grilles.
There are a TON of livery vehicles in Washington, and a large % or them are Escalades.
Certainly there are also many privately owned Escalades also, but the fact that they are so ubiquitous as livery vehicles keeps seeing them on the road from being impressive.
You’ll notice every one of these you see too because it’s a vehicle you like.
Around here they are all livery vehicles, basically invisible.
In Northern Virginia there are plenty of privately-owned Escalades and Navigators, but I agree that, perhaps because of price, they are not as numerous as the Suburban and Yukons.
But, in this class or vehicle, even downmarket versions can be quite expensive. My next door neighbor, for instance, recently spent 73K on a new Ford Expedition.
You guys are misunderstanding me. I’m not trying to say all Escalades are livery vehicles. I’m saying a lot of livery vehicles are Escalades which diminishes their prestige.
