front is just this giant flat block. Looks like a Ram up front now. LCD screens are definately nice but how is someone suppose to reach the far right edge? Again like ive said portrait orientation like in the Ram still seems like the best. Why didnt they go button shifters like in the tahoe/yukon? The joystick shifter just hogs all that center space. That center console is actually sloping upwards to meet the dash, like they were finding ways to fill the space. It doesnt have that same presence as the current Escalade with that generic looking front end with tiny headlights. Navigator still has better presence. Escalade interior just looks like a car interior. Have a lot of design freedom when you have truck size dash but they didnt seem to utilize it

Hate the looks of it. They castrated it

Went from the bossiest truck on the road to a Plain-Jane grocery getter looking thing.

Not very happy with this. The outgoing one looks a trillion times better.

I think it might look better in person. Autoblog says the interior is pretty impressive in person.

It's nice, but it doesn't have that WOW factor the Escalade has been known for IMO. I'll take the Navigator

I'll withhold much of my judgement until I've actually seen it, but it's going to be tough to beat the latest Navigator.

looks great on the inside, thankfully they didnt just study and recreate the navigator interior. I`d say the navigator finally has some real competition.

The exterior, specifically the front just looks like way to many things were going on. Bit of the old sharp angles on the bottom, mixed with the "new corp grill" up top. I expect a pretty quick refresh on this one to get it sorted. my 2 cents would to chop the lower portion (L) part off and you can get a decent face on this one.

If the interior is half as good in reality, folks will push with increased sales.

Hate it. The Tahoe and Yukon look better than this. Especially the Denali.

Fantastic styling! That has to be the nicest, cleanest, sleekest, and most modern dash I've seen in decades. The layers, angles, and the way things cant toward the driver are simple, yet appealingly modern. I wish Lexus would adopt that look inside. Also nice to see they preserved the gear shifter. Good place to rest one's hand and take quick shifting action when needed. No need to stare down to find a button.

Front end is decent. Nothing amazing, but acceptable. The smiling DRL side lights are what makes things look silly.

THIS:

TO THIS???

Horrible, castration of a bossy looking and beautiful truck. I am impressed by the interior, though.

But an Escalade is no longer on my serious want list.

The outside is kind of underwhelming to me though in the sport trim does look nice and modern like the interior more so than the Lincoln Navigator , nice to see the amount of interior space added, always found the short wheel base models to be tight in the interior rear. I'm sure this will sell well, like the rest of those big SUVs .

Huge, HUGE improvement. The old one was (is) horrendously old and inefficient and weak. The new one looks fresh, more space efficient, and sharp. The front end is way too high but that's par for the course for 'Merican suv-trucks.
