Default New 2020 Subaru Outback

It does things simply. Look for this to be another success for Subaru.

Check out final few minutes of the video at 5:26 mark. They've integrated an updated interior with an up to date touch screen solution. Does lexus buyers GS/RX/GX have to wait 4-5 more years for this kind of experience? or must they comply 60,000 hours of mastery in a full 7-8 year production cycle before moving on to an enlightened touchscreen experience (sorry, the dig is intentional because being slow to market means lost opportunity, lost sales, and lost relevance to buyer's tastes). The world will not wait around for Lexus to re-innovate and re-excite our senses to perfection.

They might put a BMW engine into the next IS. How's that for "excitement"?

Default Reliability is king...

I almost bought 2 new Subaru’s a few months ago.. Did some research and found that the Lexus brand rankings were much more reliable with engine and transmissions. So I Picked up a few 2015 Certified lease returns.. An RCF & GS 350 F Sport... The convenience of a touch display while you’re in a tow truck watching your car go back to the dealer for a new transmission was just not appealing. SUMMARY: Subaru Corporation is offering consumers an extended warranty on the continuously variable transmission (CVT) on approximately 1.5 million vehicles after concerns were raised about transmission problemsthat may cause the vehicle to stall on model year 2012-2017 vehicles.

Generally, consumers don’t hold on to cars very long in this day and age. I love reliability, but truth be told I only keep a vehicle 3-4 years then get bored with it. Lexus has been slow on cutting edge tech and even slower adopting Apple Car Play. Lexus may be reliable, but they are not head and shoulders above the rest of the pack. I am open to all manufacturers except GM. I used to own an Outback with the 3.6 engine and CVT. Great car with no issues. Not sure if Subaru’s quality has gone down hill since then, but I would give the Outback consideration. Good car for the $$$.

We traded in the wife’s CRV for a 4 cylinder Outback last summer. With her history of seizures, the Eyesight was a no brainer (haha). I’ve had 3 Legacies and 1 WRX over the past 17 years. The Outback is an incredible vehicle. When we test drove ours, I was astonished with the quality of materials and the features included. It’s not a luxury car, but the finish has come a long way from the first Subaru that I owned. I recommend this car to everyone because of its quality, safety, reliability, and efficiency. That being said, it’s hard to find ours in the supermarket parking lot because Subaru has sold so many!

I don't think we will be trading in our ‘17 for a ‘20. But if they release a hybrid model, we would be compelled to look. The PHEV Crosstrek is just too small for a growing family.
