The new IS seems to be doing pretty well for itself.
Good for the GV, it is super brand new...the solid transaction price is decent....the price is high compared to the base price which is good for Hyundais profits. there are 12 Toyota’s on there out of 20. Wow. Probably should have it’s own thread.

Days to sell in and of itself doesn't mean it's a high demand vehicle. Just indicates a good fit between the car's demand and the supply, of which Toyota typically does pretty well in trying to avoid over production, and right now with tight new inventories across the industry this is largely the case for many vehicles.

good post, yes we've hashed this out before. The gv80 in particular has been well received, but supplies are still low it seems, so they sell through as dealers get them.
Listened to Motorweek today....was a little taken back that they didn't LOVE the new GV80...basically they didn't oohhh and awww at it......a comment such as "it felt like old Detroit" in reference to the GV lackluster handling.
Was sad that someone like John Davis would say that, and then no one corrected him. But shouldn't knock on someone's favorite journalist...
IIRC he said "Correct me if I'm wrong" and then the guy who supposedly drove and reviewed the car affirmed it. I'll cut John Davis some slack since he's climbing up the age ladder, but the other journalist probably isn't too keen on Genesis as a brand given how much he kept going on about how "overrated" the car was.

This is John Davis' job--he's not just some random dude with a podcast. At any job, no matter what it is, if you are climbing up the "age ladder" and it impacts your ability to do your job correctly, it's time to go. How can we all know that the GV80 is not the same platform as the Palisade, but a guy who's job is to know about and review cars doesn't? They all should know this statement was not correct; and the podcast wasn't live, right? No one cleaned it up in production? C'mon. I mean, it's a minor thing on a podcast, and I'm not saying the guy needs to call it quits, but he needs to know things like that; or at least not state it in that fashion.

I wonder if John Davis himself is still actively working at Motor Week, it seems nowadays he's only there to do voiceovers, while the rest of the staff manage everything else.
