I more meant body than platform. The Hyundai and Kia look almost identical, so I would hope Gensis would do something to differentiate themselves.

Ah, gotcha. That makes more sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Never heard of it so guessing the market didn't share your view

optional brakes? Sure wouldn't be a 'stopper' without them.

Can't decide if I like it or not need time for the styling to sink in. It does look unique which is a plus.

I agree. Alot of the new Hyundai offerings are VERY attractive.

Struggling to see what everyone else finds as being attractive. To me it's another transformer looking SUV with an oversized grille.

This trend where the headlights are located in the lower bumper looks absolutely ridiculous and needs to end before its everywhere.

Nice interior though. stays inline with the current Hyundai/Kia/Genesis interior design language.

Another solid offering from Hyundai! Very nice styling inside and out. I'd have to rank the shape of the greenhouse an A+. No cluttered pillars, extended front and side windows, and stylish, subtle chrome trim that enhances the body shape.
Dash is pure Audi, which is a good thing.
While Hyundai and Kia have both greatly improved their reliability, they still suffer from odd defects and recalls (random engine fires, exploding sunroofs, etc). I'd still be a little concerned, but not enough to let it stop me.
Should be a nice money maker for the company.

It's a first to have it on both sides (It's already on the new K900 as well). Honda's Lane Watch is only on the Passenger Side.
#2 is already on the new Santa Fe I believe.

Honestly, the SWB Large SUV's (Tahoe/Yukon/Expedition) are not THAT much bigger than the current gen pig of an explorer or the traverse. I think people will cross shop them for sure.

Truth be told, Hyundai/Kia products of late continue to impress... more than Lexus/Toyota offerings. This new Palisade looks superb in and out. I can't wait to see what Genesis will bring with their upcoming RWD SUVs!

Did you see the latest Kia K900? Its interior, and the quality the materials they used inside will knock your socks off....just like a jewel. Seats, though, still aren't as comfortable as those in my Lacrosse, at half the price.

Absolutely beautiful. https://www.hyundaiusa.com/palisade/index.aspx

And check out these "world first" features:
1) Blind View Monitor- when your turn signal is on, the side cameras are activated and give a video view of what's in the blind spot into a section of the instrument panel cluster

2) Ultrasonic Occupant Alert- sends you a text message if a child or pet is left in the rear seats of your vehicle.

I give a big thumbs up to both of these. Especially #2 - hope other manufacturers do something to reduce likelihood of kids dying by being left in cars.
Hondas already have a passenger-side blind spot camera. The image is on the nav screen, not the IP, though.

Yes saw it in the flesh at the autoshow earlier this year and the interior is superbly crafted. S. Korea today reminds me of Japan's onslaught in the luxury market in the late 80s into the 90s.

I like it a lot, I would consider one as a 3 row crossover for sure.

My goal is to convince my wife that when the lease is up on the Pacifica in 2020 that we can get a 3 row crossover...
