Another solid offering from Hyundai! Very nice styling inside and out. I'd have to rank the shape of the greenhouse an A+. No cluttered pillars, extended front and side windows, and stylish, subtle chrome trim that enhances the body shape.
Dash is pure Audi, which is a good thing.
While Hyundai and Kia have both greatly improved their reliability, they still suffer from odd defects and recalls (random engine fires, exploding sunroofs, etc). I'd still be a little concerned, but not enough to let it stop me.
Should be a nice money maker for the company.
I don't think #1 is a "world first". My sister's Honda Accord has that feature.
#2 is a nice feature though.
It's a first to have it on both sides (It's already on the new K900 as well). Honda's Lane Watch is only on the Passenger Side.
#2 is already on the new Santa Fe I believe.
Honestly, the SWB Large SUV's (Tahoe/Yukon/Expedition) are not THAT much bigger than the current gen pig of an explorer or the traverse. I think people will cross shop them for sure.
Truth be told, Hyundai/Kia products of late continue to impress... more than Lexus/Toyota offerings. This new Palisade looks superb in and out. I can't wait to see what Genesis will bring with their upcoming RWD SUVs!

Did you see the latest Kia K900? Its interior, and the quality the materials they used inside will knock your socks off....just like a jewel. Seats, though, still aren't as comfortable as those in my Lacrosse, at half the price.
Spent a minute on the website and I am even more impressed - check out the pics of the interior. I'm very interested in checking this out when it hits dealers - if it's laid out correctly and is a good use of space, I would 100% consider this to replace our LX570 when the time comes. Absolutely beautiful. https://www.hyundaiusa.com/palisade/index.aspx
And check out these "world first" features:
1) Blind View Monitor- when your turn signal is on, the side cameras are activated and give a video view of what's in the blind spot into a section of the instrument panel cluster
2) Ultrasonic Occupant Alert- sends you a text message if a child or pet is left in the rear seats of your vehicle.
I give a big thumbs up to both of these. Especially #2 - hope other manufacturers do something to reduce likelihood of kids dying by being left in cars.
Hondas already have a passenger-side blind spot camera. The image is on the nav screen, not the IP, though.
Love it inside and out...………….could see myself in one. Just wished Hyundai would update/tweak their Logo by now.....everytime I sees the Logo bring me back to the 80'.

Yes saw it in the flesh at the autoshow earlier this year and the interior is superbly crafted. S. Korea today reminds me of Japan's onslaught in the luxury market in the late 80s into the 90s.
